dan matthewman - MANAGING DIRECTOR

LL.B(Hons), MSc, ACILEx, MRTPI

A Chartered Town Planner and Associate Member of the Institute of Legal Executives, with over a decade of public and private sector experience. Dan is the company Managing Director (owner) and lead adviser. His background includes private sector consultancy and local authority posts, in addition to working for the Peak District National Park and the Environment Agency.

Having previously established the town planning function in the Wilmslow offices of Knights PLC, Dan later established County Planning Ltd in 2018. He works nationally with a focus on instructions throughout Cheshire, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Yorkshire and the Midlands.

Dan sets the strategic direction of the company together with advising on, preparing and progressing a wide range of planning applications including contentious green belt proposals and developments in protected areas including leisure, housing, industrial, waste and energy schemes and large-scale agricultural diversification schemes.

He is a strong strategist who assists clients on their projects from inception through to completion, with an excellent track record at appeal which includes experience giving evidence as a professional witness at public inquires and in court proceedings.

Outside work, Dan has a young family which keeps him occupied with evening and weekend activities. When he’s not with his family, he is an avid outdoor enthusiast and spends his free time rock climbing and hiking in the UK and abroad. He is also an accomplished landscape photographer, having won national competitions and had his images appear in national newspapers in addition to shooting photo assignments for Canon and outdoor brand Ellis Brigham (see www.danmatthewman.com)

Josie matthewman - BuSINESS SUPPORT manager

BA(Hons), BA

Josie supports all areas of the business, principally dealing with back-office administration, client engagement and contact with local planning authorities. After leaving her career in local government she now applies her knowledge, interpersonal and organisational skills to helping our private clients. Part-time: Mon, Thurs & alternate Fridays.


JANETTE ROONEY - PROJECT COORDINATOR

Janette provides the team with administrative support and helps translate our list of complex and varied tasks into deliverable action plans.

She conducts research, tracks deadlines, arranges meetings and ensures that sub-consultants in our project teams have the information they need, when they need it. Working closely within our team, she helps us to ensure that projects are delivered on time and on-budget.
